How Medical Aesthetic Clinics Can Address The Clean Beauty Movement

Clean beauty. It’s more than a trend; As more younger consumers enter the market, they are demanding higher standard for beauty products. It stems from interest in protecting the environment, and in using ingredients that are not harmful to the human body. Understanding what clean beautyinvolves, the driving forces behind it, and what patients are likely to want could help your medical aesthetic practice capitalize on this growing demand.

What is Clean Beauty?

Clean beauty refers to beauty products that are natural in origin  and free of ingredients such as phthalates, sulfates, and gluten. The skin is the largest organ of the body and using formulations that are natural in origin and free from harsh chemicals also helps patients keep their skin healthy and radiant. It effectively addresses consumers' concerns about putting clean ingredients on their skin. However, it also encompasses the desire to choose brands that are conscious of the environment, the methods in which products are manufactured and packaged, and the impact that companies have on the world. It’s a trend that has continued to accelerate during the pandemic and is likely to remain strong.

A survey of 1,000 women in 2019 found that nearly 50% were already using clean beauty products , and more than six out of ten were willing to splurge on one. Another survey found that women are much more likely to research ingredients  before buying skin care products and they are more selective about the contents of those products.

The research reveals that consumers are actively seeking more information about the cosmetics they use regularly, especially moisturizers, cleansers, and anti-aging serums. They tend to choose brands that offer natural ingredients and manufacture goods in sustainable ways.

The desire for clean skin careis starting to carry over into medical aesthetic practices  as well. They might request products that contain only natural or organic materials and are free of harsh chemicals, including sulfates. Respond to this demand by growing your offerings to include gentle and effective products with minimal environmental footprint.

Venus Glow™ Serums

As a step up from topical skin care options, you can provide your clients quick and easy cleansing treatments using Venus Glow™. It is a tri-modality solution that works to deep-clean pores and treat skin for a healthier, more radiant complexion. The instant results it provides is an ideal introductory treatment at your practice, or even as an add-on to other treatment plans. Utilizing an adjustable vacuum, a rotating tip, and fine jet streams (finer than an average strand of hair at 50-70 microns each), Venus Glow™ works to loosen dirt, debris and excess sebum, clean the pores of impurities and provide the treatment of common skin concerns.

Our newly released Venus Glow™ Serums , a consumable series on the system, include powerful concentrations of ECO-certified organic botanicals and active peptides that deeply cleanse and effectively treat a variety of common skin concerns. Your client can choose from an array of serums, each with a different focus, such as brightening, protecting, or calming the skin. These serums are gentle and free from parabens, dyes, and fragrances, making them ideal for multiple skin types, including sensitive skin. With the addition of Venus Glow™ Serums, you can offer your clients a more tailored treatment while keeping up with clean beauty trends  to increase potential revenue at your practice. Be sure to highlight other products you offer that have similar ingredient profiles to demonstrate your commitment to clean beauty.

Clean beautyis likely to become the new normal, particularly with younger patients who tend to be more concerned with the environmental impact of their choices. Capitalize on the movement by providing a variety of eco-friendly choices, expanding your offerings if necessary.
