A new study conducted by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) found a significant shift in how social media now impacts a patient’s awareness of their appearance. Thirteen percent of AAFPRS members found that this major trend of social media photo posting (and resulting scrutiny) was a motivating factor for patients in their practices.
