Venus Concept Supports Hockey Helps the Homeless

Venus Concept recently got into the holiday spirit by volunteering at an event for Hockey Helps the Homeless on November 14 th that raised $200,000 for the cause. Between fantasy hockey tournaments and getting to lace up with hockey pros, Hockey Helps the Homeless raises awareness and funds for the fight to end homelessness.
On any given night, 30,000 people in Canada are homeless according to the organization. The national cause supports organizations and programs that provide housing, transportation initiatives, employment, and mental health support to homeless individuals and families. Hockey Helps the Homeless is aiming to beat last year’s fundraising total of $1.4 million in the hopes of providing more services and support across the country.

“Venus Concept is inspired by the fundraising success of Hockey Helps the Homeless, and we are proud to have been part of the 20th Anniversary Markham / Stouffville tournament,” says Franklin Tello, Vice President of Global Marketing at Venus Concept. “As a team, it is important for us to give back to the community, and Hockey Helps the Homeless is fighting for a cause that is especially meaningful during the holiday season.”
Big thanks to Joanne Serafino for giving our team the opportunity to volunteer at this year’s Hockey Helps the Homeless Tournament. The money raised through their fantasy hockey tournaments helps to fund the work of over 40 homeless support agencies that share the goal of ending homelessness.
We all learned about the causes they support every year with the funds raised, and we are already looking forward to helping out next year!
